Pulsed power technology is an emerging fundamental discipline with thedevelopment of defense-related research. The technology has been widely applied in theindustrial and commercial department. It is mainly used in the fields of electronics andparticle acceleration, nuclear fusion, microwave devices, large power discharge laser,electromagnetic pulse, flash radiography, the instantaneous radiation effects, and has avery wide prospects for applications and development. The measurement of pulsecurrent is one of the main contents of the pulsed power technology research.This paper is focused on the research and design of the system of optoelectronichybrid current transducer for the measurement of large pulse current. The system ofoptoelectronic hybrid optoelectronic current transducer can realize the remotemeasurement and monitoring, it consists of two parts: using a Rogowski coil currenttransducer as the part of current signal acquisition, and to realize the detection of thepulse current signal; using optical fiber transmission system to achieve the transmissionof the measuring signal. Because the technology of optical fiber transmission system isrelatively mature, the focus of this paper is the research and design of Rogowski coilcurrent transducer. The main work of this paper are as follows:(1) study the basic principle of the Rogowski coil, deduce two accurate model ofRogowski coil, and conduct error analysis for the measuring results of the Rogowskicoil in consideration of the influence of environmental factors, such as outsideinterference magnetic field, limited-length current-carrying conductor, deviation of theposition of current-carrying conductor from the center of the coil, tilt of current-carryingconductor.(2) study and analysis the influence of the structural parameters and theelectromagnetic parameters of the Rogowski coil, as well as passive integrator andactive integrator to the dynamic feature of Rogowski coil current transducer.(3) for the measurement of8/20μs standard lightning pulse current, according tothe design flow, design and produce two different PCB Rogowski coil currenttransducer. For the transmission of8/20μs standard lightning pulse current, optical fiber transmission system must satisfy specific requirements. Build optoelectronic hybridcurrent transducer system to measure8/20μs lightning pulse current with the designedPCB Rogowski coil current transducer and the optical fiber transmission system andanalysis the experimental results.
