With the process of the national network, China has entered the high-voltage, largegrid, the era of large units, a large area power system installed capacity has reachedmore than20000MW, the power system in China has been mainly in the province,developed to inter-provincial large area power system has begun and the regional powergrid interconnection. Therefore, to study the stability of the bulk power system is verynecessary.Study the stability of the system, you should be familiar with its mathematicalmodel. This article first derived a mathematical model of the synchronous generator, themathematical model of the the infinitely large stand-alone system, the mathematicalmodel of multi-machine power system, under the premise of linear conditions are met,the derivation of the linear mathematical model. On this basis, a equivalent simplifiedmathematical model is improved and analyzed. Secondly, using VC++languageprogramming to compute multi-machine system of linear differential equationseigenvalues, according to the the eigenvalue analysis system static stability. Finally, tobuild equivalent simplified model of the power system simulation using MATLABsoftware,we can set a three-phase short-circuit fault simulation model system toanalyze the simulation results and explain the stability of this system.The rapiddevelopment of China’s electric power industry, the study of large-scale power systemstability will be more efficient and reliable.
