At present, along with the deepening of the development of power network inChina, and gradually build up more and more power plants and transmission anddistribution network, with the regional power grid continues to expand, all operatingequipment basic information and data has become very large, operation, maintenanceand management difficulty also increases, so the establishment of a improve the safetyof substation control integration system will improve the running big duty personnel’sworking efficiency, at the same time for the stability of the grid security and thereliability of the equipment and power system are sharply.Now the substation control-integration operation management are mainly in twoways, namely artificial management and computer management. The manualmanagement way already cannot satisfy the requirements of increasingly large powergrid, and computer software management system, the function and efficiency cannotcompletely meet the application requirements. Software for substation control-integration system management in domestic is mainly used in C/S mode (i.e.: client/server mode), the database of the system are Oracle or Sybase. Although theconventional C/S model is the most commonly used software patterns, but it still hasobvious shortcomings, such as: investment is high, can not guarantee that differentregions and levels of computer system data consistency.According to the above analysis and the system development situation, the futurethrough the WEB platform, based on distributed database and interfacing as thefoundation, combined with the software of substation integrated regulation and controlsystem of Java technology will have broad prospects for development. Because thissystem is real-time, consistency, security, cross-platform and many other features, willgreatly enhance the substation operation and maintenance management level and workefficiency, but also will be advantageous to the processing of power system increasinglylarge, complex problem of network data, can be more efficient, safe, reliable substationcontrol-integration operation maintenance and management.
