Light And Space——Research Of The Light And Shadow In Interior Design

The sun birth to all things, raising nature of humanity, gives magical phenomenon and strength. Before the beginning of human civilization, our ancestors had begun to worship the sun, Brittany pillars; Salisbury Stonehenge is witness of this kind of worship. Since religion is produced, people began to use the building to continue this worship. Special nature alone "invisible things", it’s magic and great that the light itself is invisible, but we can feel its presence anywhere. Therefore, the light becomes plausible, erratic, light also seems impossible to start.Today, in many architectural space designs, the light, just as a tool to be used to eliminate dark space, when the development of the scientific and technological make the building space can easily accept the use of the light source, the light design hasn’t been sublimated with liberation of building; its vitality scattered and lost. Modern architecture seems to completely eliminate the dark world, creating an over transparent world-light source in everywhere, such as Halo, like the spread of the light of the world, as the absolute darkness, means the death of space.This thesis is targeted on the light and shadow in the space as a major research object, researched and analyzed the light and shadow from various angles:from the historical angle, we generalized the psychological and physiological significance of people’s demands to light-environments; by the properties of light, generalized the technique of control for light from people finally; from the perspective of artistic aesthetic feeling, to compare the different expression of light and shadow in space, analyzed and summarized the artistry of light and shadow in different space, then researched the expression of light for Space image, color of space and space character, types of shadow and shadow’s expression, generalized the relationship and interdependence between light and shadow, finally, made adequate theoretical preparation for the significance of light and shadow on the space as the role of vocabulary in building interior space; by analyzing the relationship between light and shadow and space, we pointed to the fact that light and shadow are complement each other and unity of opposite; from visual perception, we made deep analysis in the influence on light and shadow when it limited space, enriched space content, strengthened space momentum, visual focus and psychological scale in all respects; by studying the material to the influence of light and shadow, light and shadow of material performance, the outdoor environment on the influence of light and shadow, the final generalized a series of light and shadow performance technique, summed up the spirit of light and shadow in the different space of expression.Through the in-depth study of the above content, this thesis is put forward the author’s opinions further about the light in space design with specific technique of expression; to shape the space visual image as the core, the space design and lighting design as a kind of visual design of the space, to explore the basic connotation of space visual design, and driving the performance of light and space design idea and method, it is also the author of this thesis exploratory research, is the research results of this thesis. I hope this article can derives some, and make the universal attention topic-light and shadow to carry on the analysis; mining more abundant in spirit in space building.
