According to China’s railway "long-term railway network planning (2008adjustment)",cutoff of2020, our railway operating mileage must be up to120,000km. The main lineachieves separation of passenger. Existing railway additional second-line13,000km andelectrification16000km. so that requires a lot of engineering and technical personnel engagedin the existing railway survey, design and construction tasks. In a certain period, there aresome new railway put into operation on the existing railway line retest work also requires acombination of volume change on the part of the lot line transformation. Therefore, as a linemaintenance operations in a normalized, how limited human and material resourcesconditions to improve the level of survey, design and use of existing engineering databaseinformation to improve the efficiency and quality of the existing lines alteration works is verynecessary.Since the railway line is a large banded structure, the continuous application of newtechnology, new equipment on line so that the line engineering database management putforward new requirements. How to manage the massive, complex line data, to improve thelevel of utilization of the data line is the key of the survey and design efficiency and quality.The data of existing line measurement has the following characteristics such as large(the dataof existing railway line, the data of existing device, the data of survey along line), complexstructure(many kinds of measuring instruments, different brands of measuring instruments),many kinds of storage management methods of data (manual recording, electronic hand book,instrument storage), difficult to collect(existing line data dispersed in many units departments).Use of database technology for unified management of its survey data to maximize theeffectiveness.This topic is based on discuss existing line measurement data collection methods anddata characteristics, use access database as a platform to operate on the existing line data, suchas add, modify, delete, export and so on. In this paper carried out the following work:(1) By studying the existing lines at domestic and abroad measurement methods anddatabase technology used in the current development of railway surveying, summed up thelack of this regard. Establish the necessity and significance of the existing line measurementdata management system.(2) Summarize the content, collection methods and data storage management of theexisting line measurement, analyzing the differences between the same data which usingdifferent methods to obtain.In a detailed summary of the structure of the data and analysis onthe basis of, the list representation of the type of data and storage of the measurement data. (3) To analyze the system, proposed the system’s goals, determining the systemdevelopment platform, dividing system structure and function module, divided accessdatabase entity, and then carry on logical, conceptual and physical design of access database.After completion of the above work, discussion the feasibility of the system from technicaland economic and to determine the system’s operating environment.(4) After completing the above analysis, establishment an access database. Achieve thesystem function by writing VBA and SQL language code, evaluation systems by specificapplications. By applications, summarize system deficiencies and defects.
