The21st century is the century of development and utilization of underground space, underground caverns analysis is a very important issue. The finite element software is an important means to solve engineering problems, including the underground cavern. Using redevelopment of general finite element software, you can better solve various professional issues. General-purpose finite element software ANSYS, has a wide range of applications in various industries, but also provides a variety of secondary development tools, so the redevelopment and its application can be studied.ANSYS redevelopment tools mainly include four, namely APDL and UIDL, Tcl/Tk, and UPFs. APDL known as command flow, is used for parametric modeling and analysis. UIDL and Tcl/Tk are used for ANSYS graphical user interface development. This paper studies a set of complete graphical user interface development plan:menu interface development with UIDL language, dialog interface development with Tcl/Tk language. UPFs is used to modify the user subroutine, from the source code level on ANSYS secondary development. Among them, users subroutine usermat is used for secondary development of material model. The UPFs and usermat are introduced in this paper, based on elastic-plastic theory and Mohr-coulomb criterion, the Mohr-Coulomb model is developed using usermat. In addition, using UIDL and Tcl/Tk, combining with the APDL, underground caverns analysis module is developed.
