With the rapid development of highway construction, road surface has successively entered the overhaul period, the detection of traffic on the road also becomes more important. Pavement as a measure of the quality of highway driving is one of the main indicators, has become a very important research topic. Manual testing purposes with respect to automatic detection technology has the inherent advantages of high speed and precision, along with sensor technology and computer technology, the use of non-contact detection method to quickly detect the flatness of the road pavement testing become mainstream development orientation. In this paper, pavement-vehicle detection system design and composition were studied in detail and elaboration.First, the introduction of the flatness detection technology, history and current situation at home and abroad at the same time clarifies pavement detect the necessity and importance. Second, a detailed analysis of asphalt pavement smoothness and flatness measurement method of index calculation process for flatness inspection system is designed to provide a theoretical basis. Third, through the laser displacement sensor, an acceleration sensor, GPS positioning system hardware components of indicators the operation principle and introduces part of the components of the selected models. Fourth, the individual components integrated into a complete vehicle-mounted pavement roughness detection system.Finally, the vehicle detection system Pavement Roughness Measurement assay performance through analysis shows that the system performance is stable and reliable use of a certain value.
