Study On Planning And Design Of The Architectural Color In The City Of Ji’nan

As the concentrated reflection of the cultural and historical characteristic of a city, and one of the important factors in the process of city planning and development, the architectural color of a city reflects the perfect combination between the contemporary construction and city culture.The "Spring City" Ji’nan, in Lao She’s words, distinguishes itself with unique features among the Four Seasons, and tells long stories of every alleys, which provides inspiration to his writing. However, with the moving of the city construction and building industry, Ji’nan, which had a picturesque scenery, long history and cultural deposit, gradually forms a new urban pattern, and encounters some difficulties in the process of speeding up the pace of new construction projects. Before the so-called "rich colors", the problem involved must be taken serious consideration.In early2011,"Research on Color Planning of the Central City of Ji’nan" was published, in which the conception, the overall position and atlas color fixation are introduced. Due to the questions, such as the above mentioned research whether or not could be taken into practice by the new projects, the architectural color whether or not would be in accordance with the planning after the completion of a project, the historical protection and development whether or not can be realized with the treatment of the historical buildings and renovation projects, etc. the planning and design of the architectural color in city is chosen as the research orientation of the paper.Beginning with the analysis into the problems of the architectural color in city, including insufficient understanding towards the architectural color and the factors which form the city features, being lack of detailed guidance to the architectural color by the color planning, etc, the paper continues with the present research achievements in this field, and figures some problems over these researches, for example, being lack of deep analysis into the topic, insufficient solutions to the special contradictions, similar thinking patterns and formwork of the research paper on practice and application, being disjointed with the reality, etc. In this way, the practice of architectural color and the content of planning are taken as the main research targets in this paper, applying with the theories of color, city color and architectural color, as well as the functions and influencing factors. Besides, the history and cases of the domestic and foreign architectural color of a city are studied, which explains the methods of implementation and application of architectural color. For the domestic part, Xi’an and Beijing are taken as the cases, and for the foreign part, Tokyo and India are taken. What’s more, by using the research methods of observation, photography and questionnaire, the buildings in the city of Ji’nan, with different types (residential buildings, shopping malls, financial buildings, school buildings, industrial buildings, etc.), histories (modern buildings and historic buildings) and landscapes, are studied, and the suggestions and reform plans are proposed in allusion to the problems existed from the aspects of the building types, building time and landscape. Finally, the management measures to both modern buildings’repairing construction and historic buildings’protection are provided, in order to explains the developing trends of the architectural color-orderly design of the city color, harmony and unity of the people-oriented architectural color and the city color planning, and the future of the architectural color in a city is prospected.
