Extraversion arch bridge was a new bridge, its beautiful shape had attracted bridgebuilders’ attention and had been built more and more in our country. Compared with thetraditional arch bridge, its lacked of lateral wind bracing, out-of-plane stiffness was smaller forits arches lean outward, the difference of the structure mechanical properties compared withconventional arch bridge was large. So the stress of arch structure analysis, research the stressdistribution had important theoretical significance and engineering value, this paper in view ofthe special nature of butterfly arch bridge mechanical properties, researched on the followingaspects:1. Summarized the development status of extroversion arch bridge in China, analyzedmechanical properties of extroversion type arch bridge, described the present situation ofresearch in our country. Taking Xi’an a butterfly-shape arch bridge as the engineeringbackground, built the whole bridge finite element model using Midas/Civil software, andsimulated the actual loads and the combination of different loads.2. Observed the distribution of the arch rib’ internal force and displacement under partialloads, analyzed and summarized the effect of different loads, and compared the influence ofvarious loads on arch ribs. Investigated and analyzed of the distribution of the arch ribs’displacement and internal force under combination of loads, attained the action of loadcombination, mutual authenticated the roles of the partial loads.3. On the cable initial forces conditions, observed the distribution of the cable force underdifferent partial loads, horizontal comparison of sensitivity for different loads, gave the mattersneeding attention in the layout of cable force.4. After analysing influtial parameters of the displacement and internal force of thearches, selected the "high","angle","edge beam elevation position" of the three parameters asvariables, respectively inspected response of displacement and internal force of arches withparameters changing.Analysed its regularity, finally summarized and compared of sensitivityof the displacement and internal force of arch ring of three parameters.Finally, several suggestions were put forward to make more reasonable for the stress ofarches.
