Water Hammer Prevention And Application Of Domestic Water Supply Of High-rise Buildings

Water hammer phenomenon often occurs in the high-rise buildings water supply system,which would cause huge damage to water supply system, and seriously affect the safety andreliability. Therefore, in order to ensure security of the running of the high-rise buildings. It isnecessary to make pressure fluctuation analysis. According to the occurrence characteristic ofwater hammer, the reliable and economic measures of water hammer prevention are chosen.Water pipeline tube explosion often occurs in operation of pipelines. In this paper, takethe actual housing project as the example, using Flowmaster software platform, to build thefrequency conversion water supply system model. Through the transient simulation analysisof different conditions, points out the safe and effective measure of preventing water hammer.The transient simulation results show that:(1) Water hammer phenomenon occurs in frequency conversion water supply systemwhen the pump speed abruptly chances. In this example, the water hammer pressurefluctuation of accidental pump stop is the biggest, and it reaches1.254MPa, the transientpressure is twice as much as steady-state pressure.(2) Water hammer pressure propagates in whole water supply network, and waterhammer pressure is proportional to the changes of pipe network flow.(3) Water hammer arrester could effectively alleviate the water hammer pressure, andeliminate the negative pressure. The maximum transient pressure change is0.082MPa.According to the results of simulation, water hammer arrester could effectively achievethe water hammer prevention. It is a greatly help to high-rise buildings water supply system,and it can provide some reference for similar project design.
