With the development of the west, highways and some high grade highways inmountainous areas are increasing, and thus the number of high-steep slopes increasesharply. Many high-steep slopes are decisive to the smooth traffic of highways. If theinstability and failure of a high-steep slope happens, it will cause loss of life or trafficcongestion, and it will be an adverse impact to the economic and social development tothe certain area. So it is a very important work to prevent a high-steep slope frominstability and failure, and monitoring a high-steep slope is an effective method toprevent it from instability and failure. Moreover, it is also an important work to makethe road smooth in the first time and complete the emergency-response work quicklyafter the disaster of a high-steep slope. So, studying the monitoring system andemergency-response system in key highways’ high-steep slopes, is an important role forthe regional development of economic and the security of life property.In this thesis, main factors of inducing a high-steep slope unstable are analyzed,and a safety evaluation system of a high-steep slope is raised. Then destruction types ofthe high-steep slope are summarized; the frameworks of monitoring system andemergency-response system of high-steep slopes are established. Then three kinds ofsensor technology, which are adapted of high-steep slope and have high precision anddurable feature, and three online monitoring data acquisition and transmission systems,which are adapted of long and distributed slopes, are discussed; at the same time,common evaluation methods of slopes’ stability are summarized. Moreover, technicaltypes of the emergency-rescue after the disaster of high-steep slopes are discussed, andthe emergency-response system of high-steep slopes in key roads is built.In the thesis, take the high-steep slope K43+046-K43+220of Wan-li highway forexample after above analysis. Calculate and analyse the security and stability of theslope before and after supporting; propose the monitoring method of the normalhigh-steep slope. At last, analyse and study the work of emergency-rescue of high-steepslopes in Wanzhou district.The purpose of this thesis is to service practice. It hopes that, the study can providereference for improving the monitoring and emergency-response system of high-steepslopes in national key highways, so as to similar project practice.
