The long-span cable-stayed bridge tower construction has many technical andeconomic characteristics, such as long construction period, main tower constructionwithout scaffolds, water and high altitude construction, narrow construction plane andworking platform and so on, and is sensitive to climate and meteorological factors suchas wind, temperature change, thunder and lightning and so on, which determines thecomplexity and risk of the cable bent tower construction. But the study about it stillstays in the aspect of theory, and it is of shortage to how to analyze and control thesesafety risks in engineering practice. It is significant to analyze and control the safetyrisks of the cable bent tower construction in order to meet the construction safety andfunction targets.The safety risks of the cable-stayed bridge tower construction is studied in this ar-ticle, which is based on the risk analysis and control theory, and combines the construc-tion characteristics of the cable bent tower construction and the existing problems insafety risks analysis and control of the long-span cable-stayed bridge tower construction.Firstly, the influence diagram method is adopted to analyze the comprehensive risksource of the safety risk factors in the process of the cable bent tower, and the cable benttower construction safety risk space of the cable-stayed bridge is developed based onthe construction characteristics. Secondly, the forming process of the risk event is ana-lyzed through the influence diagram, the influence relationship between different riskfactors is stated, and the fuzzy influence diagram model is proposed to evaluate the ca-ble bent tower construction safety risks. Thirdly, the cable-stayed bridge tower con-struction safety control system is developed and the risk control measures are proposed,which is on the basis of the risk source analysis and risk assessment, and primarily con-trolled and guided by the people’s and objects’ safety. Finally, the proposed cable benttower construction safety risk theory system is applied to the numerical case named "theResearch of Construction Safety Risk Analysis and Control about the Second YangtzeRiver Bridge in Fengdu of Chongqing". The construction risk assessment model of theSecond Yangtze River Bridge in Fengdu of Chongqing is developed. The special riskevaluation about the lifting crane transportation safety risk is produced and the corre-sponding risk control strategies are made based on the assessment results.This paper finishes combined with the basic scientific research project of transpor- tation department named "the Research on Risk Analysis and Control in the WholeProcess of Transportation Project Construction"(the serial number:2005319814030)and the lateral scientific research project which is "the Research of Construction SafetyRisk Analysis and Control about the Second Yangtze River Bridge in Fengdu ofChongqing".
