The central green belt(median separator) is an integral and important part of the highway. If design and constructe well the central green belt can not only play isolation opposite traffic and maintain traffic flow, but also prevent headlight glare; It can also impact on the overall greening effect of the highway to adjust to the climate of the road range, play a guiding sightline improve the driving environment, the soothing passengers staff fatigue and so on. The central green belt also can reduce or eliminate pollution levels and noise. Thus the central highway greening of the green belt requires high quality, and has important theoretical and practical significance. When building the central green belt of highway should pay attention to green designing and construction. According to local site conditions and local conditions to reduce damage to the original area of the plant. At the same time, choose the appropriate varieties and configure reasonably. Emphasis on the long-term greening effect to improve highway traffic environment. The paper began on long-term supply of water for plant growth, from collecting the water source to the micro-irrigation technology, released water into the soil for plant growth slowly. Carried out a series of researches, including Plant Disposition, rainwater harvesting technology research, the central green belt micro-irrigation technology research.Achievements of the paper are as follows:(1)Anti-glare Plant Disposition.According to the local climate and environment, try to choose suitable plant specis which can grow well for long-term. Combined with poor soils, poor water and fertilizer the ability to accumulate and a highway central green with plant growth environment is relatively small. According to the specific site conditions and different types of plants growth characteristics, select the appropriate plant species and the greening configure to meet greening and Anti-glare requires.(2)Micro-irrigation:Evenness.Large orifice discharge micro-irrigation technology increases micro-irrigation pore size, also increases the control difficulty of irrigation evenness, cause it affected by the first pressure head, pore size, hole spacing, etc., and great longitudinal slope increase its control difficult. By changing the pore size and programmed to regulation, determine the pore size, to insure the evenness compliance requirements. (3)The diffusion of moisture in the soil.Water transported to the soil after diffusion and evapotranspiration activities, using soil moisture tester its moisture content in root parts and nearby the plant in the soil, to track, measure, determine the soil moisture can whether meet required for plant growth(4)Research on rainwater collecting.Solving the green plants growing sources of water supply problems in central green belt of highway. According to local precipitation and other meteorological data, the result is:sufficient rainfall during the rainy season, very little rainfall during the dry season; water collecting techniques for micro-irrigation sources, collected precipitation in the rainy which flow away in vain season, purified and storaged, released into the soil through micro-irrigation systems slowly to meet plant water demand.(5)Smart micro-irrigation system.Micro-irrigation system is designed to transport water and released into the plant growth soil slowly. Buried humidity sensors in the soil of green belt, solar and battery system as the energy source, the system can determine the soil moisture, and start irrigation or stop irrigation intelligently. The application of solar energy in the system design process is mainly to reduce maintenance problems in order to liberate human and extend the useful life of the system.
