Experimental study and theoretical research on seismic behavior of semi-rigidconcrete filled steel tubular (CFST) frames infilled with composite panels wereinvestigated in this paper. The main achievements were summarized in detail asfollows:(1) A series of experimental studies on four specimens of semi-rigid CFSTframes infilled with composite panels and one specimen of semi-rigid CFST framesubjected to cyclic loading have been done. The main parameters were the paneltype, the connection type, the diagonal set and the panel set. The hysteretic curves, skeleton curves, strength degradation curves, stiffness degradation curves, ductility, and energy dissipation capacity were analyzed and evaluated to analyze thestructural seismic behavior.(2) The analytical models of semi-rigid CFST frames infilled with compositepanels under static loading were developed by finite element analysis (FEA)software ABAQUS. It is verified that the modes are correct compared with the testresults. The nonlinear analysis of semi-rigid CFST frames infilled with compositepanels under static loading was used, and the stress distribution of the componentswas discussed.(3) The theoretical analysis of semi-rigid CFST frames infilled with compositepanels under static loading was developed by software ABAQUS. The main factorssuch as material parameters, geometric parameters and load parameters wereanalyzed. The main parameters and the effect rule of load–displacement relationwere determined.(4) The theoretical analysis of semi-rigid CFST frames infilled with openingcomposite panels under static loading was developed by software ABAQUS. Themain factors such as opening ration, opening door position and opening windowposition were analyzed. The effect rule of load–displacement relation wasdetermined.(5) Based on analysis of static performance, the analytical models ofsemi-rigid CFST frames infilled with composite panels under cyclic loading weredeveloped by FEA software ABAQUS. It is verified by the test results. The effect on the load-displacement hysteretic curves was studied.
