Compared to the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor, the solidrotor line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor has the advantages of simplestructure, high mechanical strength and well self-starting capability. So this kind ofmotor have important application on many occasions, such as the frequently startingwith heavy load. The rotor of the motor is not laminated but solid, so the rotor coreis not only the circuit but also the magnetic. Parameters of the solid rotorpermanent magnet synchronous motor are not easy to determine in the transientstarting process,because rotor parameters will change with the slip.Moreover, Eddycurrents induced by the stator three-phase rotating magnetic field is not evenlydistributed in the rotor, but in the rotor penetration depth. Depth of penetration isthe function of slip, it is smaller with the slip greater,the skin effect is also thefuction of the slip. Due to the existence of permanent magnet on the rotor, theelectromagnetic field is more complex, and it is more difficult to analyze the startingprocess. The starting process of solid rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor iscomplex and it has many applications in frequent starting with heavy load situations,so it is important to study the transient starting process.Firstly,analyse the principle of solid rotot self-starting permanent magnetsynchronous motor.Analyse the motor performance such as voltage equation, phasediagram, power angle characteristic, power equation and torque equation and theother aspects of the motor with the double reaction principle.Using the2D maxwellto build four kinds of motors and make a comparison of their performance.Secondly,make calculation of electromagnetic field with2D maxwell andanalyse the starting torque of solid rotor self-starting permanent magnetsynchronous motor.And analyse the relationship between magnetic flux density,current density, air gap magnetic density and slip.Thirdly,using the field-circuit coupled to analyse the starting process of solidrotor asynchronous induction motor and solid rotor self-starting permanent magnetsynchronous motor.Using2D maxwell to analyse the starting characteristics of theno-load and rated load.Moveover,analyse the effects by the different size ofpermanent and air-gap on the starting performance of motor.Finally,calculate the d-axis and q-axis reactance of the solid rotor self-startingpermanent magnet synchronous motor by three methods.
