In cold winter, snow and ice of the road will bring the roads and road safetyseriously bad effects, and with the worsen of climate in China, not only the Northbut also the South are faced with the snow and ice removing question in winter. Therefore, removing the road snow and ice timely and effectively has veryimportant significance for the traffic safety. The snow and ice removing ofpavement technology at home and abroad focuses on the chemical and machinesnow and ice removing, the built-in electric heating mode is on initial stage. Therefore, in this paper the built-in electric heating for snow and ice removing isresearched through finite element analysis, indoor experiments and field experiment.1. Based on the theory of heating transfer,a mathematical model of the systemof electric heating cable used in parking pavement deicing and snow melting is andterminal condition are defined. And ANSYS,a kind of finite element analysissoftware,is used to calculate the model. According to the ANSYS finite elementanalysis software, the layout of heating cable spacing and the buried depth ofheating cable for optimized analysis.2. Adopt heating cable heating mode of parking physics except snow process isdivided into pavement heating temperature stage and stable snowmelt deicing stage. The pavement with asphalt concrete as the research object. Through the analysis ofthe pavement with heating speed and heating power, steady temperature andenvironmental factors, heating power relations, study the asphalt concrete parkinglot on the optimization of heating power. Then the reinforcing mesh and heatingcable cooperative fromation is simulated through finite element model, and throughthe analysis it can be found that the reinforcing mesh will improve the heatingefficiency of heating cable at same heating power.3. In order to check the performance of cement and asphalt concrete with built-in heating cable can arrive at the requiements of pavement performance or not, theindoor experiments including the temperature field, the bond stress between heatingcable and concrete, high temperature stability, fatigure perfomence and so on are done to verify the performance of cement and asphalt concrete with built-in heating. The results of indoor experiments can provide the theoritical basis for built-inelectric heating system design, construction and operation.4. The cement concrete pavement and asphalt pavement test section areconstructed near the YUNYAN serveice area of JingZhu express way. The fieldtests validate that the construction plan and technology are feasible. The electricheating system experienced one winter operation and the results indicate that thesystem arrive at the expected design objective. The operation cost of this system isvery low and has the significant social economic benefit.
