Single phase inverter is a DC-AC voltage converter device. It is of greatimportance in many practical systems, including new energy power generation, aviationpower supply and varied frequency control of motor speed. In all of these applications,it is essential that the inverter remain within the prescribed operating region, sinceunstable operation can often lead to catastrophic consequences. So it is an extremelyimportant task to analyse the stability of single inverter. So far, such analysis is usuallyperformed by using approximate models such an those obtained through averagingmodel techniques, which have been shown to neglect significant parts of unstablebehavior in many real-life systems. However, single phase inverter is a piecewise linearsystem, the stability of the single phase inverter can not be analysed accurately by thesemodels.Based on the relevent literature review, nonlinear phenomena in the single phaseinverter is studied. Firstly, the developed present situation of nonlinear phenomenon athome and abroad is introduced in detail existing in power electronic. What will be donein the single phase inverter is obtained. Secondly, it is shown that a clear understandingof nonlinear dynamics theory and many ways leads to better analysis for single phaseinverter. In all of ways, stroboscopic mapping model is a more accurate method, it canhave the effect of the nonlinear phenomenon research microscope compared withother methods.Thirdly, nolinear phenomenon in the single phase inverter controlled by proportionp current closed-loop is studied. The dynamical characteristics of single phase invereter,such as time domain waveform diagram, bifurcation diagram, folding map andlyapunov index are comparatively analysed, nonlinear phenomenon existing in singlephase invereter is established. There are many problems in the single phase invereter,such as electromagnetic interference and bigger output ripple, applying spread spectrumtechnologies to suppress were very popular and this method has been effectivelydemomstrated. While, nonlinear phenomenon was ignored. In this paper, nonlinearphenomenon in single phase invereter which is based on spread spectrum technologywas firstly studied. By comparing the single phase invereter based on spread spectrumtechnology with the single phase invereter analysed above, the conclusion that thesingle phase invereter based on spread spectrum technology is more easy into nonlineardistrict is obtained.Lastly, nonlinear phenomena were researched in the single phase inverter whichwas controlled by either peak current or valley current. The symmetrical dynamicalphenomenon exists in single phase invereter by using MATLAB numerical simulation method. It is of theoretical and practical significance to explore the mechanism ofnonlinerar behaviours in the single phase inverter.
