At the flighting process of the helicopter, the internal friction lieutenant of the main retarderproduce a large amount of friction heat, if the heat is not timely lost, temperature of the internal partswill rise significantly, which will cause the failure of parts, and create a serious threat to the safety ofthe helicopter. At the same time, the helicopter is extremely vulnerable to fire attack on the battlebecause of its low flighting height, once being shot and lose lubrication, the temperature of the mainretarder will rise sharply which directly led to the crash of the helicopter. Therefore,the analysis ofthe steady state and transient temperature field is necessary and Plays a guiding role in helicopterdesign stage.On the basis of the heat transfer, We had a system research on the temperature field of the themain retarder with thermal network as the research method, and mainly completed the followingseveral aspects.Establish a suitable heat source analysis model by study of the heat source of different parts ofthe main retarder, at the same time, the study of the convective heat transfer coefficient between themain reducer internal parts and lubrication medium is also carried out.Under the condition of a given friction heat, heat convection and heat transfer coefficient, weobtained the steady-state temperature distribution of the main retarder by using a computer program tosolve the heat balance equations; and we also established transient thermal analysis model consideringthe variable thermal coupling of the main retarder caused by the temperature rise on the lost of thelubrication conditions, take the steady state temperature field as the initial conditions of the transienttemperature field and achieved the transient temperature field by solving the transient balanceequation.In order to solve the general problem, temperature field of several typical helicopter mainretarder such as the Blackhawks was calculated which has great reference for other model helicoptermain retarder temperature field analysis.On the basis of theoretical research, a software was final developed based on the Matlablanguage which can realize the main reducer drive system steady state and transient temperature fieldcalculation function.
