In seismic design, particularly in irregular building or high-level structure thatheight more than a range, we should complementally use time-procedure analysis tocalculate he response spectrum, we select a different acceleration versus and inputstructure to analysis, the results are vary wide, so it is necessary to select what kind ofseismic wave input to make the results more closer to the actual situation and seismicdesign more reasonable. this paper use cardinal B-Spline wavelet function to simulatethe real seismic waves, then decompose seismic wave acceleration by B-Spline waveletfunction based on fast algorithm of discrete wavelet, then we get wavelet componentsthat are overlap each other in adjacent frequency, finally we can fit response spectrumby cycle adjustment wavelet components. Input the adjusted seismic wave to thehigh-rise shear wall structure, conduct its elastic dynamic analysis, and compare theresults of the response of seismic waves in the high-level structure before and afteradjustment. The results show that: This method retains the real ground motioninformation vibration, calculation results close to the response spectrum Analysis, andable to meet the seismic design specifications.The work and research in this paper:1. Select EL-Centro wave and the Taft wave from Seismic Database, decomposeseismic wave acceleration by B-Spline wavelet function, Prepare for the adjustment ofseismic wave.2. Adjust the amplitude of the decomposed wavelet components by the method thatcan adjust band at any time. In such a way to control the difference betweenacceleration seismic influence curve of [0.1, Tg],[T1-ΔT1,T1+ΔT2] and specification lessthan10%, reconstruct the adjusted wavelet components in order to fit responsespectrum of seismic waves. Use MATLAB language to complete the preparation of the program, adjust EL-Centro wave and Taft wave using the method described in thisarticle.3. Establish a34-story shear wall structure model Combining the seismic basicknowledge, the model meets the requirements of seismic design, analysis the elasticseismic of the model, meet the design requirements, make the necessary preparationsto time-procedure analysis.4. Input the actual seismic of EL-Centro and Taft and the adjusted seismic ofEL-Centro and Taft which are adjusted by the method to the structural model, analysisits elastic dynamic, compare seismic waves contrast adjustment base shear layer driftangle, compare the result with the response spectrum method, research adjustedseismic waves discrete and consistent in the statistical sense.We can know through Wavelet adjustment: when using dynamic analysisadjustment seismic waves in the time-procedure analysis in the article, The discrete ofthe base shear and top-level displacement response are small, The difference of seismicinfluence coefficient curve are small compared to the main modal cycle point. We cansee that the method of adjustment seismic waves can better meet the requirements of theinput seismic waves seismic waves, It is a new approach, new ideas for our engineeringdesign.
