With the development of society and the accelerated process of urbanization, per capita living space and the living environment of low-income groups have been gradually improved, that will inevitably lead to the increase of the total building energy consumption. China is a big country energy consumption, only the building energy consumption accounted for about one-third of the total social energy consumption, and showed an increasing trend, based on this background, the significance of building energy efficiency is extraordinary. Therefore, to grasp the status of building energy consumption and building energy consumption analysis study has important significance.In this paper, the object of study is the status of the Yan’an area residential building energy consumption. Through the existing residential building energy consumption survey, field measurement and theoretical calculations of the building envelope performance, indoor thermal state of the environment, residents’ daily life energy consumption and other conditions to carry out in-depth research, statistical analysis of the different construction era, different units area of residential buildings per unit area of operational energy consumption and energy consumption of building envelope. Analysis from the energy distribution of building basic conditions, building envelope system and other aspects of the current situation and energy consumption characteristics of Yan’an area of residential buildings, reveal the impact of the loss of residential building energy consumption and indoor thermal environment is not comfortable.Meanwhile, according to the regional climate characteristics of Yan’an and the characteristics of residential buildings, the integrity of the habitable building energy-efficient design strategies. Building energy efficiency design should be two-pronged approach, on the one hand, in accordance with the actual situation of the base by adjusting the building facing flat layout, building shape coefficient adjustment in demand for building functional and architectural modeling, in order to standardize the requirements and indoor thermal comfort requirements adjust building toward the windows than walls, building energy consumption qualitative considerations; on the other hand by the adjustment envelope system components:facades, exterior doors and windows, roof, and floor insulation material types and different energy-saving construction method, adjust building surrounded care system, the thermal resistance and heat transfer coefficient of the building envelope system for quantitative comparison. So as to provide reference for optimized energy-saving design of residential buildings to choose.
