With the rapid development of wireless positioning technology, wirelesscommunication technology and computer application technology, the WIFIcommunication technology gradually with the transmission speed, wide coverage, theformation of simple, inexpensive and convenient system expansion. In order to achievelow-power, low cost, safe and reliable of open-pit mine wireless communication goals,this paper starting from the actual demand of open-pit mine vehicle monitoring system,through the analysis and reference to the current mainstream of vehicle monitoringsystem, then puts forward the shipment the WIFI network technology to the open pitmine in vehicle monitoring system, with WIFI wireless network as the transmissionmedium, with GPS as vehicle positioning means, technology based information systemwith GIS as the platform of the integrated application system, it can get the real-timelocation tracking of mining vehicles and other equipment, display dynamic information,such as mine information, vehicle location, dangerous areas and etc, Which improvesthe efficiency of the open-pit mine production safety management, and has importantsignificance to realize the digital mine management.This paper studies the key technologies for vehicle monitoring system in open pit,the main contents include:(1) Through the analysis and the research status of vehicle monitoring system athome and abroad, the vehicle monitoring system using GPS positioning technology foropen-pit mine, the WIFI data communication technology and geographic informationsystem technology has carried on the detailed study, then this paper puts forwardopen-pit mine vehicle monitoring system which using GIS/GPS/WIFI technologyintegration. (2) Detailed study of the AP frequency allocation algorithm and its distance deployment model,through access to the wired network and WIFI wireless network deployment in the open-pit wirelessaccess point AP, then build the open pit WIFI wireless transmission network platform and realize thevehicle location data and other information transmission.Combined with GPS technology,geographic information system technology of mining vehicle tracking and positioning, to achieve theeffect of network multi-purpose.(3) In carrying out a full investigation and theoretical research on the basis of thesystem database and the system as a whole functions in vehicle monitoring system inopen pit design, laid the necessary foundation for the latter part of the system softwaredevelopment.(4) Using the theory and method of software engineering, develop the open-pitmine vehicle monitoring communication server and vehicle monitoring clientsoftware,then realize the function of open-pit mine vehicle real-timemonitoring,historical trajectory playback positioning, vehicle intelligent alarm,and alsoprovide the corresponding interface for the system extension and consummate.(5) The overall deployment of the vehicle monitoring system in Sandaozhuangopen pit, conducted a field test of the system, the test results show that the system isable to achieve real-time monitoring of open pit vehicle, locate, track, track playback,real-time alarm management functions.
