Since the21st century, Hebei Province, the rapid development of highwayconstruction brought increased highway geological disaster, which endangers life andproperty. People and relevant government departments are also increasingly concernedabout the province’s highway geological disasters. Under this form, governmentdepartments need faster and more accurate grasp of the province highway geologicaldisasters. Especially in Hebei Province in western and northern mountainous areas, withlong mountain road, highway geological disasters frequently seriously hampered the localeconomic construction and social development.In our country, some individual provinces have carried out the research anddevelopment of the highway disaster warning system, mainly distributing in China’seconomy developed long highway (Shanghai region) and China’s southwest highway inwhich geological disasters are more frequent (such as Guizhou region). This article is basedon other provinces researches of the system. It discusses the mechanism and influencingfactors of highway geological disasters, and evaluates the risk assessment of different typesof highway geological disasters, and analyses the development characteristics of thegeological disasters in Hebei Province. The highway geologic hazard warning system inHebei Province is designed by MAPGIS software, VC++development language and theSQL Server database. The system is used for management of the province highwaygeological disasters, and provides more highway geological disaster prevention scientificinformation. Based on the accurate information, it reduces losses of disasters.The paper is divided into five parts. The first chapter introduces the developmentbackground and significance about Hebei Province highway geological disaster warningsystem, analyses current study situation of the highway geological disasters prediction,this thesis content and technology roadmap, and technology roadmap. The second chapterdescribes the system-building programs and introduces the current situation of HebeiProvince highway geological disaster prevention work, and the basic module systemdesign. The third chapter focuses on the system design. It introduces the system databasemodule design and evaluation modules. The fourth chapter describes the systemimplementation process. It further analyses the realization of the main interface to thedatabase and assessment model. The fifth chapter is the introduction of the key technologies of the system development. It introduces the application of key technologiesand methods during the development process. Finally, it comes the conclusion of the paper,pointing out the trend of the development of the system, and the inadequacies of the paper,to facilitate future improvement and development in the area.
