The G345 highway is located in the Qinba Mountains area of south shaanxi. The geological conditions are complex, the ecological environment is fragile and the geological disasters are frequent. The infrastructure and operational safety of the highway and the safety of life and property along the residents are serious. In this paper, the author selected the G345 highway the Yungaisi to the Muwang as the study area, analyzed the background information of geological environment conditions, geological disasters and remote sensing images. And made the geological hazard risk zoning evaluation based on the analytic hierarchy process and the the information quantity method. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Analyze the characteristics of geological disasters in the study area, and summarize the development and spatial distribution of landslides, landslides, debris flows and unstable slopes.(2)The evaluation system of geological hazard risk in the study area was established, and eight evaluation factors were selected, such as elevation, slope, engineering rock group, active fault, water system, annual precipi, tation, road distance and residential area. The degree of influence of the evaluation factor is discussed.(3)The area of the high-risk area is 27.0 1km2 in the rectangular study area, accouiting for 5.88%of the total area of the study area, which is mainly distributed in the area of Gudaogou to Jingzhong in the Yungaishi. The area of middle-risk area is 122.39km2,accounting for 26.67%of the total area,Mainly distributed in the Laowuchang to the Sanjiaotan area;low risk area is 309.53km2,accounting for 67.45%of the total area, mainly in the rest of the other areas.(4)The area of high-risk area in the key buffer zone is 14.91km2,accounting for 15.73%of the total area;the area of the middle-risk area is 36.86km2,accounting for 38.88%of the total area;the area of the low risk area is 43.04km2,mainly in the rest of the other areas.
