As the economy has grown rapidly in China since the20th century, transportationenterprise has been developed rapidly. In the process of highway construction, a lot of highslopes will be encountered. However, high slope safety can easily be affected by externalenvironmental factors, especially seismic load. China is a country where earthquakes oftenhappen. The stability of high slope can be influenced by earthquake force, so collapse andinstability phenomena have occurred. Traditional slope seismic theory calculation methodcannot meet the design requirements. Therefore, This paper is based on ShiTian highway.Through on-site engineering investigation, theoretical calculation, analysis and evaluation, theseismic stability of highway high slope is studied, which mainly includes the followingaspects:(1) the relevant material of highway high slope seismic stability at home and abroadconducted the system research and the retrieval and analysis of the highway high slopegeological structure, rock mass structure types, formation lithology, landform, hydrologygeological condition, seismic load and other factors impact on seismic stability.(2) both at home and abroad information, on the basis of investigation, engineeringsurvey of highway high slope sliding instability mechanism and the seismic stability analysismethod has carried out in-depth research, put forward the mathematical mechanical modeland the stability of the highway high slope seismic stability analysis method, and compiled acorresponding calculating software.(3) based on the above software, the system of the highway high slope are analyzed inlinear slope, the first-order and second-order slope in slope system research, proposed thehighway high slope parameters under different conditions of the slope safety coefficientvariation law.(4) based on ShiYan-TianShui highway project of ShaanXi section, the projectworkspace, on the basis of seismic safety evaluation, in combination with geologicalexploration, geotechnical parameter sampling test, choose three typical high slope engineeringstability evaluation.
