As the rapidly development of infrastructure construction in the western mountainous areas of China, it will lead to lots of natural slope. In addition mountainous area in our country is vast, accounted for about two-thirds of the land. This makes the study of the stability of the slope under the action of earthquake force has practical significance. The stability of the slope under the action of earthquake force has been a important research topic in the field of geotechnical engineering. The traditional safety factor method is often used for slope design and stability analysis in the specification. We often treat the earthquake force as a static that no considering the seismic force and other affecting factors with uncertainty and randomness. Therefore, in this paper I carried on the probability analysis of slope stability under the action of the earthquake force from the angle of reliability based on the two highways in southwest Yunnan: Dali to baoshan line and baoshan to longling line.1. Engineering geology and earthquake disaster situation of Yunnan southwest were detailly investigated, and based on project Dali to baoshan line and baoshan to longling line were field investigated and comprehensive analyzed.2. Reliability theory, the principle of reliability analysis method, the advantages and disadvantages of reliability analysis method are described. Many kinds of limit equilibrium methods are intercompared. Finally the checking point method is selected to analyze the reliability of the slope. Through using transfer coefficient method deduce functional function with earthquake force and slope reinforcement force. Reliability analysis model is established based on the transfer coefficient method and the checking point method.3. According to the engineering investigation and related literatures, the slope reliability analysis under the action of earthquake force of main parameters are set to shear strength parameters and horizontal seismic peak acceleration, and their distribution types are confirmed. The mean and standard deviation of horizontal seismic peak acceleration are counted.4. Through reliability calculation of a simple homogeneous slope, the relationship between the shear strength parameters, variability of a random variable, the reinforcement force and reinforcement angle,step length coefficient,which effects on the reliability index are analyzed. Then The corresponding MATLAB program is written out. Before and after reinforcement of two typical high slope are analyzed using Reliability theory. Then using transfer coefficient method validate the reliability analysis model in this paper.
