Once the cable-stayed bridge, a traffic hub project, was damaged in an earthquake, thedisaster relief work and reconstruction would be seriously influenced. Therefore,to theseismic response of long span bridges, it was the scientific basis to establish reasonableseismic resistant system. This paper analyzed the spectrum response、the time-history analysisand the auxiliary piers for cable-stayed bridge dynamic characteristics and seismicperformance, according to a large span cable-stayed bridge as the engineering background.This paper established a spatial finite element model of the bridge which is finished by finiteelement analysis software MIDAS based on the theory of finite element, and considered theimpact of the pile-soil-structure interaction on structural dynamic characteristics. Analysisresults show that considering the pile-soil-structure interaction can be more accurateresponse the dynamic characteristics of bridge, this paper selects the correspondingcoefficient such as seismic acceleration、site classification, and finally determines theresponse spectrum curve,and analysis the response spectrum by imputing the curve along thelongitudinal transverse and multidimensional direction-horizontal combined vertical. Thispaper chooses the EI-Centro earthquake wave to analysis the seismic response of the instancebridge with the dynamic time-history analysis which could consider the influence ofgeometrical nonlinear on the long-span flexible structure. The results show that the transverseseismic response control factors for seismic design, compared the results of time-historyanalysis and the response spectrum analysis, we knew that the calculation results of responsespectrum were bigger, so seismic checking computations should be combined with thetime-history analysis. I have analyzed the auxiliary piers for cable-stayed bridge dynamiccharacteristics and seismic performance. The results show that the setting of auxiliary piershave an effect on structure formation in the sequence,and the auxiliary piers can reduce theinstances of bridge under the seismic action of displacement and internal force. Theconclusions of this paper can be used as the basis of seismic design of such kinds bridge andis useful for directing seismic response analysis of other kinds bridge.
