Research Of The Highway Landscape Design Based On Landscape Color And Visual Sensitivity

In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economy, people have thehigher level requirements of their living standards and their spiritual-cultural life.Simple spatial transfer has far can not meet the needs of people when travelling, theywould prefer being in a beautiful and comfortable driving environment. Therefore, theconstruction of highway landscape has gradually aroused people’s concern. It hasbecome an integral part of the highway construction.Highway landscape design is a multi-interdisciplinary subject which involvesenvironment, human behavior, engineering, art and so on. However, due to the lag of thetheory, the construction of highway landscape in China still exist many problems.Such as the lack of cognitive research on landscape beauty. Compared with thehighway landscape design which based on large-scale and driver’s dynamiccharacteristics, the traditional small-scale and static landscape design concept showsome limitations. Meanwhile, we should also be graded for researching the design ofthe different landscape elements. This paper is analyzed in this context. Based onunderstanding the research status about highway landscape at home and abroad,pointing out some problem that faced by China’s landscape design, proposing themain content and technology roadmap for current situation of the highwaydevelopment in our country. With color effects, landscape scale, human visioncognitive characteristics and visual sensitivity of landscape as the breakthrough point,we adopt the methods of laboratory test and field survey to studying the humanlandscape cognitive characteristics, then human color cognition characteristics ofhighway landscape are shown, through the analysis of the drivers’ visualcharacteristics, we put forward the concept of visual landscape sensitivity, and divideit into several levels. The dissertation systematically studied the design methods oflandscape elements in different landscape zone.Not only for perfecting the landscape design, but also for enriching the freewaylandscape design method, the above study results can provide important referencevalue and serve as a foundation for establishing guidance or planning for highwaylandscape design, and it is benefit for creating more beautiful and comfortable drivingenvironment.
