The large-tonnage crane is commonly controlled by the hydraulic pressure and theelectricity, the control system is getting more and more complex. It has been unable to makethe quick and accurate judgment of the crane’s working condition only with personalexperience. Therefore, it is very important to develop a condition monitoring and faultdiagnosis system of large-tonnage all terrain crane in order to maintain and analyze the causeof fault. This thesis refers to the successful utilization of black box on the plane andintroduces the concept to the field of crane. It can record and store the operation data. This thesis includes the following aspects:First of all, develop a storage strategy of the black box data: In order to ensure thereal-time and reliability of data storage, record the operation data to RAM which is with thebattery. When RAM is filled with512KB, and then stores these data to the SD card.Secondly, combining with the virtual instrument technology, complete the manualanalysis of the data. Using virtual instrument controls under the Visual Studio2008development platform. Display these data in the form of a table or two-dimensional map,three-dimensional map. The man-machine interface is more attractive. Finally, this thesis researches the key technology about fault diagnosis of crane and putsforward a kind of solution based on expert system. Knowledge base is built with theparticipation of experts in the field. Then the system gives the conclusion after comparing thestatus of data volume with the fact in the knowledge base and further reason. Further more,“the crane status automatically examination” is applied in the automatic scoring strategystudy.Through an example, the expert system for fault diagnosis of crane can obtain accurateand correct results. But if the system is put into practice, the hardware and software must befurther perfected and debugged.
