Wrecker is a kind of special vehicles with road rescue equipment that can lift and hold ofan accident, illegal or damaged vehicles and can quickly leave the scene of the accident. WithChina’s rapid economic development and highway mileage continues to increase, the demandto wrecker is rapidly increased, especially multi-functional, user-friendly and professionalwrecker. This thesis firstly introduces the origin of wrecker, it’s development at home and abroad, the gap between domestic Wrecker and abroad, then points out three-pronged factors isaffecting the development of China’s wrecker. Listing the main components of wrecker andthe characteristics of each part, the advantages and disadvantages of each type wrecker indetail. Using multi-axis automobile axle load calculation method, wrecker’s axle load、brakeforce distribution and geometry through are calculated.Boom and corbel will be exposed to a variety of different and complex load at work, sothe strength and stiffness of that part play a very important role in the design of wrecker. Inthis thesis, the boom and corbel working conditions of each load is decomposed, then usingSolidworks and Workbench analyzed boom and corbel’s characteristics of stress distributionand stress concentration area. For each section of the corbel’s wall thickness do the parametermodeling and optimization, taking the quality as the optimization goal, and the result provesthat lightweight effect is remarkable and the stress distribution is more equality.Sub-frame is an important device and load-bearing part, it’s vulnerable to produceresonance by the external excitation in practice. In this thesis, the sub-frame’s first10ordermodal is analyzed by using modal analysis module of the Workbench, and shows the responsefor different road incentive frequency and engine excitation incentive frequency. Thedisplacement response and stress response to incentive forces in harmonic response module isanalyzed too.
