The formation of human characters starts from the childhood, of which play is a major part as we learn to cooperate during the play, and we learn about our companions and ourselves during the play. Play is the nature of children, and children grow and learn in the play. The play environment of high quality is of great significance to a healthy development of children, which is not only a critical session during one’s growing up, but also relates to the steady improvement of people’s quality and further development of a nation. In order to save developmental space for our offspring, the principle of sustainable development has been brought out repeatedly in development plans of world wide. Modular container construction system, with a combination of conciseness and functionality as well as its merits of relatively high construction efficiency, high economical rewarding, recyclable in use and multiple choices of materials is presenting its vast potentiality on the way of sustainable development. Sustainable development focus on a balanced development of society, economy, culture, resource, environment and living, and the children’s development is never indispensable of its core and foundation. Sustainable development can only be achieved with cares and attentions on children’s healthy development. This paper, with an example of the design of5D children’s Interactive Park at East Lake of Wuhan city, applied the sustainability and modularity of container architectural and made a breakthrough in the limits of space and equipment. It started from children’s real experience and created a human-friendly space by integrating multiple designs, like experimental design, interactional design, new media design, etc., which has created a joyful experience of children and promoted their healthy and overall development, thus realized the sustainable development in a real sense.
