With the pressure of carbon emission reduction in china, construction hasresponsibility on it,and especially enormous quantity of rural residence can not beignored.In addition,for the Central Committee of China being emphasis on issues ofagriculture,the government should promote low carbon rural residential research in ruralareas.It should be taken advantage of rural elements and stress on collaborative technologyand integration of building space as an interdiscipline.Its core is low-cost,highefficiency,variable,regional integration type of low carbon technology strategy,that givingpriority to natural ventilation,daylighting,combining with local materials.Based on an analysis of the hot summer and cold winter region in wuhan,the design set anexample of typical villages, dwellings shape and regional low carbon means of study ofChinese traditional local-style dwelling houses from the Ming and qing dynasties to1950sor1960s.From typical residential layout forms to a modern low carbon residential flat,according to the topological deformation,the design get the scheme of plane forms,whichis a traditional architectural forms that it has3times of standard width of a room in an oldstyle house.This kind of house is accord with neat, concise rural housingform,simultaneously accord with the aesthetic concept of farmers’ groups. Choose the lowcarbon technologies for rural use with regional characteristics, and integrate it into thedesign. Such as crab eyes Patio,multiple functionalized balcony,sward soil walls,Theroof garden,etc.
