The marine power system is a collection of electric power generation, distribution,transmission and utilization in an independent electric power system, provide the whole shipwith electric energy. With the ship largescale and automation degree unceasing enhancement,more and more marine equipment need electricity to drive and control. Ship powerequipment of high-speed update makes ship power system becomes more and morecomplicated. Ship power system stability and quality of power supply in the face of variousconditions to maintain continuous, high quality power quality, it is a new challenge in themodern marine power system. In order to make the complicated power system with reliableguarantee, we can use the scientific technology to control to reache the purpose of powersystem stability. Based on the power system to solve the prototype in the face of all sorts ofconditions may appear unstable phenomenon,we put forward a feasible control method, Thismethod is based on a ship power system and on the basis of establishing a proper modelinvolved in the study. This control method is the prime mover of the speed control systemand generator excitation control system mutual coupling coordination control, used tomaintain ship power system stability. Based on the MATLAB/Simulink software we usesimulation to build a ship power system simulation model. With this simulation model welaunched a series of research and analysis.This paper first introduces the ship power system structure and species. The primemover of the speed control system and generator excitation control system were introducedin this paper and the research, so we establish the mathematical model and simulation model.Prime motor speed control system is very important in the selection of governor,whichgovernor choice directly related to the speed control accuracy requirements. Through avariety of governor contrast,we choose the suitable for this paper ship power system modelof the electronic governor. In the process of the mathematical model, make thecorresponding simplified, the purpose is to facilitate analysis and simulation model of thebuilding.Then, according to the established mathematical model of ship power system and theworking principle and basic structure. Using MATLAB/Simulink software built prime motorspeed control simulation model and field control system simulation model. In the face of allkinds of complicated power load, such as all kinds of motor load induction motor variablefrequency speed regulation based on SVPWM. we use MATLAB/Simulink software to choose the simple load instead of all kinds of complicated load. Each module will beintegrated to form a complete set of ship power system model.Finally, we according to the prototype in driving may be met in various conditions. Inthe establishment of simulation model on the basis of all kinds of typical fault simulationtest, the results of the test we analysis this paper established the simulation model and thecorrectness of the proposed control method. The results show that the model can reflect thereal well,the result can be look on as prophase exploration.
