Maglev (Magnetic levitation) CMG (Control Moment Gyroscope) is an advancedexecutive component of attitude control. It has many advantages, for instance, lowvibration noise, high precision of output torque, long life, etc, and has been a hot area ofresearch. Some research on the control system for CMG frame based on PMBLDCMhas been done in this thesis, and the main work of that is listed as the following:The development trend and research situation of BLDCM is introduced in thisthesis. The operational principle is expounded in detail and motor characteristics areanalyzed baesd on the given accurate mathematic model.The operating principle of sin-cosine resolver and photoelectric encoder, which canbe used for high accuracy speed measuring in low speed condition, is introduced. Animproved M/T method is presented and its performance is analysed in detail.As the back EMF of PMBLDCM used in the practical application is more like sinewave, FOC (Field Orientation Control) technology is adopted to decrease the torqueripple. And digital three loop feedback control system, which contains current loop,speed ring and position ring, is designed. And the performance of the designed controlalgorithms is tested with Matlab/Simulink.TI’s32-bit fixed-point DSP controller TMS320LF2812is used as the maincontroller of control system in order to control the three-phase Brushless DC Motor. Thehardware platform of BLDCM is constructed with DSP. A general scheme of thehardware platform was given. Then several parts of the platform are expounded in detail,for instance, the power amplifier circuit, the revolver circuit, the optoelectronic isolatorcircuit, the detection circuit of current, etc.The test of the CMG frame driving system is designed and the results show theproposed speed control solution for BLDCM is feasible.The results of the experiments show the proposed digital three loop feedbackcontrol system for CMG frame is feasible. It has excellent operation performance aswell as high reliability.
