Water supply network is one of the important lifeline engineering in modern city, itis an essential infrastructure that ensures residents’ surviving and developing, but withthe expansion of the city, the vulnerability of the water supply network have emerged inthe face of the sudden natural disaster—earthquake, however, most of the city’s watersupply network was paved long time ago and without passing standard aseismaticability test, in addition, most of the cities are in earthquake-prone areas, and they aresuffering the risk of earthquake at any moment, so it is significant to make apre-earthquake dangerous assessment and post-earthquake recoverable strategyoptimization on water supply network.Based on the previous seismic damage characteristics of water supply network, thispaper summarized and analyzed the damage patterns and reasons of the pipeline, theseismic damage rate can be selected by the principal factor, including seismic intensity, diameter, material and site condition, during the post-earthquake period, the watersupply network keeps servicing under the circumstances of seepage, depending on theseismic damage rate, the extent of the damage pipes can be presented by the seepagearea and seepage flow, and can be quantified by the ratio of seepage flow and pipe flow, with different handling method and combined with the China point seepage model, hydraulic simulation of the water supply network with seismic damage can be achieved.According to the change of nodal flow and pressure under the seismic damage, theevaluation system of pipe risk value, recovery difficulty, nodal recoverability andnetwork recoverability are created, with the evaluation system, the risk of pipeline canbe predicted before the earthquake and can be strengthened its aseismic ability, on theother hand, these hydraulic status index can also optimize the repair process, andprovide decision for disaster relief work.At the end of the paper, the function of post-earthquake hydraulic simulation andhydraulic status evaluation are integrated into the “WaterSupply” software, this softwarewas developed on ArcGIS platform, so it is equipped with the function of spatialanalysis and management, taking a water supply network of a county in anhui provinceas an engineering project, hydraulic simulation and performance evaluation afterearthquake can be achieved by the software, the influence and recovery process of thepost-earthquake are comprehensively and systematically analysed.
