The front lighting is the eye of vehicle. High performance automotive frontlighting system could provide drivers with the best front road lighting, to protectdrivers safe and conformable driving. With the large development of the headlamp,the design of the headlamp of the vehicle occupies the pivotal status in the new stylevehicle type overall design. The design of the front lighting system should not onlybeautiful and energy saving, but also to achieve the performance unity of the highspeed response and the environmental protection. For the currently existing vehicleadaptive front lighting system is too expensive, is not conductive to popularize andpromote, the mathematic models is not very accurate and so on. This paper based onthe theorem named Ackermann steering geometry of steering, relying on the turningmodel of the vehicle, try to research an adaptive front lighting system that are easyto promote and high controlling precision.The goal of this paper is to research and develop a system that just use two stepmotors to solve the bending light and pitching angle compensation of the vehicles.Based on the relationship between the headlamp steering lighting and steering law,turning performance, steering mechanism, and the steering angle of the steeringwheel, lift-right wheel, we draw the relationship block diagram. According to therelationship between modules in the block diagram, we can give the conclusion thatthe theory of Ackermann plays an important role in the whole system. First give adetailed inference and the analysis to the theory. Deduce the relational expressionbetween the rotation angle of vehicle body axle and the left-right side angle of thetrapezoidal geometry steering mechanism, apart that the position of the turningcenter also be calculated. And then based on the Ackermann steering geometrytheory, I drew the overall turning diagram of the vehicle.In order to achieve precise control to the left and right headlamp, this paperused for individual analysis methods for each lamp, and the Ackermann steeringgeometry theory is the bridge to link two parts. To the headlamp-leveling systems,the AFS system also compensates the pitch angles caused by driving dynamics,aerodynamic and other effects. Base on the pitching of the vehicle body model toestablish the mathematic model of automatic level adjustment to control theheadlight to move in the vertical direction. Finally, establishing the bending lightmodel and the leveling systems model in the MATLAB software platform themsimulation and analysis to each model, to verify the correctness and feasibility of thefront lighting system’s kinematic model that established based on the steering theorem. This thesis provided the theoretical guidance to the domestic auto-adaptedheadlamp independent industrial productions development and the promotion, andlays a foundation for the popularization of AFS adaptive front-lighting systemindustry internally.
