This paper studies aircraft structural parts’3D CAPP that based on MBD technology.In order to meet the requirement of weapons and equipment pre-research Fund(9140A18010312HK0501) project and needs of aviation industry, the paper is focusedon features of aircraft structural parts, which are with inner complexity, thin andunstable quality of manufacturing. Though the software such as CAD/CAM had beenused world wield the development of3D CAPP in China is still considered insufficientto face future requirement. The main points of this paper are listed as following:⑴A model for aircraft structural parts3D process model is defined that based onMBD technology. First, the applications of MBD technology are introduced, andanalysis the cutting features of aircraft structural parts is given. Based on experience ofmanufacturing of them, the conclusion of the routine for aircraft structure parts’manufacturing is addressed.⑵3D CAPP technology is studied in this paper. By applying features recognizingtechnology,3D CAPP can be not only to satisfy the needs of the routine, but also toidentify the special features and gathering its information, especially of its size androughness. Furthermore they can be viewed as the factors of decision of manufacturing.Meanwhile, processing knowledge is combined, such as cutting depth, cutting toolchoice, to achieve the whole process. And then set off the process documents⑶The aircraft structure parts’3D processing card is defined. The needs of modernindustry’s congregation and information management are acknowledged. The paperpoints out the insufficiency of2D processing cards and current situation of3Dprocessing cards. In order to improve the efficacy of input and output of processingdocument, based on the advantage of MBD technology, the routine for processinginformation management and3D processing cards is defined in this paper.⑷Based on the research and study of above, implement alpha3D process designsystem for aircraft structural parts. It can fully achieve the functions of ideas mentionedin this paper.
