As a big energy country,China’s locoal industry developed rapidly in the last century. Manydiggings and power plant are under construction.espacialy,people build many coal transportingtrestle which is a necessary link in the production of transport.At the same time, the span of newtrestle is more large due to the limit of site conditions and comprehensive economic consideration.But subject to the level of industry technology, the structure of long span trestle is still fallingbehind.This not only caused some economic waste but also stay away the quickly development ofthe industry structure. Considering of the rapid development of the coal industry and the laggardstructure design technology of trestle,the research of long span coal transporting trestle is verynecessary.This paper set the propylaea which is on the top of long span coal transporting trestle as theresearch object.We use the finite element analysis software-SAP2000to research the force、modaland steady-state of the general section steel truss、circular steel-pipe truss、pre-stressed circularsteel-pipe truss and pre-stressed encased concrete circular steel-pipe truss.Also we optimize thedesign of each structural member by modified full stress method. Through the comparison on eachstructural member internal force,steady state response capacity,deflection and span ratio and totaleconomic cost of the structural design,the paper summarize that pre-stressed circular steel-pipetruss applied to the60m span has good efficiency and applicability. In the condition of bar stabilitycondition and strength constraint,this paper seted web member system and cables arrangementform as optimization variables,compared the deflection and span ratio and economic cost in theengineering background of coal transporting trestle.Above all,the paper got the conclution thatusing herringbone fashion web member system and three point support contour outside layout cable in pre-stressed encased concrete circular steel-pipe truss coal transporting trestle of the span of70m-80m have a excellent efficiency.
