Semi-rigid connection steel frame concrete buckling-restrained steel plate shearwall system (Con-BRP) is a new type of structural system which has advantages of boththe semi-rigid connection steel frame and the concrete buckling-restrained steel plateshear wall. This new structure has higher lateral stiffness and smaller sound as well aseasy construction, compared with non-buckling-restrained thin spsw structures. In thelight of the case that there are few research on this new type of structural system inChina and abroad, there is great theoretical and practical significance to study it.In this article, experimental study on a one-bay end-plate connection Con-BRPspecimen is made at first. To prevent weld cracking at column foot of the specimenbottom, half-story thick steel plate is set in the specimen to ease the stress concentrationin the bottom of the column. According to the results of the experiment, specificanalysis and evaluation are done to the important seismic performance indicators of thenew type of structural system such as bearing capacity, hysteretic behavior, stiffnessdegradation and energy consumption performance. It’s found that the concrete slab hasgreat anti-buckling effect on the in-fill plate.Secondly, finite element software ANSYS is used to do nonlinear analysis on thisnew type of structural system in which shell element and solid element are used as wellas the same loading criterion with the experiment. By comparing the derived analysisresults with the experiment such as hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, stress cloud and thedeformation of the structure, good agreement is found between the two results. Thus the accuracy and feasibility of nonlinear finite element analysis using ANSYS for this newform of steel plate shear wall structure is confirmed and foundation for more in-depthstudy of the structural system is laid.At last, parametric analysis is made on this new form of structural system. Duringthe analysis, impact on the mechanics properties of the structure from changing theconnection bolt arrangement form, axial compression ratio of the column, beam-columnconnection form and the in-fill plate thickness ratio are researched andload-displacement curve, stiffness degradation performance and the shear distributioncharacteristics of each structure with different parameters are analyzed. According to theresults, axial compression ratio of the column and the in-fill plate thickness ratio arefound having significant influence on mechanical performance of the structure.
