Semi-Rigid Connection Steel Frame-Unstiffened Thin Steel Plate Sheer Wall is a new type of structural system which increases the lateral stiffness of traditional moment resistant steel frame, so that this new type of structure provides the opportunity to use semi-rigid connection which is more economical.Currently, international and domestic research of the new type of structural system is still in the primary stage, the study on this structural system is of great theoretical and realistic significant.The experimental research on a two-story,one bay specimen of Semi-Rigid Steel Frame—Non-stiffened Thin Steel Plate Shear Wall under low frequency cyclic reversed lateral loads has been completed.Through the test results,we specifically analyse the seismic performance indicators of the new type of structural system——energy dissipation, ductility properties, bearing capacity degradation, stiffness degration.Secondly, by the use of finit element software AYSYS,the studies of this new structural system under monotonic loading non-linear finit element analysis have been carried out.From the finite element results of load-dispalcement curve,Von Mises stress development and distribution,structural deformation,compared with the test tesults, finite element calculation results are more consistent with the test results,thus confirm the accuracy and feasibility of using ANS YS to complete the finite element analysis on the new type of structural system,and has laid a good foundation for doing more in-depth analsis and study on this new type of structural system in the future.Finally, the structural design of flush end plate semi rigid connection has been given,and this paper also has given the reasonable result of the initial stiffness of the flush end plate semi rigid connection.
