The base of the Duck Creek landscape planning and design is located in Li Ping scenic national forest park of Li Ping, Hanzhong. It is a typical river valley, and the main characteristics are natural landscapes, such as mountain, river, and forest, as well as traditional agricultural production landscapes. In the process of scheme design, there are two important problems need to be solved:The first one is how to coordinate the relationships of tourism development and protection of natural environment as well as the landscape characteristics. The second one is how to recognize the existing man-land relationship, and handles well the indigenous inhabitants as the user’s demand. This thesis is according to these two aspects to develop the Duck Creek landscape planning and design research.Specifically, this thesis mainly includes the following aspects:1. Carries out a detailed analysis and combing the status of Duck Creek landscape planning base, including the terrain, climate, hydrology, vegetation and transportation of the base, as well as the existing environmental damage of the base. From the natural landscape, production and living landscape as well as architectural landscape two aspects carry out a detailed analysis of the landscape resources and characteristics of Duck Creek.2. Makes a detailed analysis of the Duck Creek land use status, resident status and the status of man-land relationship. Explains the importance of the protection of arable land and the importance of Duck Creek residents participation in landscape planning and design; Combining the status of Duck Creek residents, comes up with the specific ways and methods of the residents participating in landscape planning and design; At last, combining the functional needs, terrain, land conditions, and ecological security requirements to give a analysis of residents wishes and proposals’ reasonability and scientific.3. According to the base status, landscape features, the analysis of man-land relationship, combining with the needs of recreational function, owner and residents develop demands, determines the design goal; According to Duck Creek state of the environment, combines with the protection and development of the relationship to determine the design principles and methods.4. According to the design objectives, principles and methods, from the planning concept, functional area to landscape nodes elaborates Duck Creek landscape design.5. Sorts out the design process of the project, as Duck Creek landscape design a starting point. Sums up in landscape planning and design practice:The universal requirements, which include protection of the base natural environment and landscape features, respecting of the man-land relationship, and attention to the needs of users.
