Composite structural system composed by Steel Reinforced Concrete(SRC) orConcrete Filled Tube(CFT) frame with Reinforced Concrete core is a new type ofstructural option, which was rapidly developed in the design of high-rise and superhigh-rise building in China in recent years. This structural system have significantadvantages, such as decreasing the overall cost, reducing the component section,speeding up the progress of construction and etc.A frame-core wall hybrid system is applied in Hebei Kaiyuan World Center, whichis a super high-rise building with the height of242meters. This paper takes this projectas the practical example, systematical summary and study are base on base on theauthor’s work during the project scheme and preliminary design, feasibility study forexceeding code limit. The research work mainly focus on the structural system andcomponent selection, design of the seismic performance, two lines of defense of theouter frame, elastoplastic static pushover analysis, the elastoplastic dynamic timehistory analysis etc.1, Through the analysis of the application of the structural system and superhigh-rise, compared the advantages and disadvantages of the two structures of pure steeland mixed structures. A rectangular concrete filled steel tube (CFT) frame withconcrete-core system is suitable.2, Carry out the seismic design with modal response spectrum method by PKPMSATWE and ETABS software, analysis of the structure of the overrun condition,determine the seismic performance requirements.3, By CANNY program, elastoplastic static pushover analysis and Nonlinear timehistory analysis are processed 4, According to the results of the above analysis, to take the necessary seismicmeasures targeted to meet the seismic performance goals that been set.On the basis of the conventional seismic design, Seismic performance based conceptwas overall embodied in the structural design. Base on the static elastic-plastic pushoveranalysis, the elastic and elastic-plastic time history analysis, the effective measures aretaken to enhanced the structure’s seismic performance. The structure scheme andseismic design has satisfied the seismic performance objectives.
