Based On The Symbiotic Mode Of "Urban Village" Environment Reformation

Along with the development of economy, urbanization is improving constantly.Since the1990s, our urban constructors give little care to the deformed development ofurban village, because they seek quick success and instant benefit in the city construc-tion. Therefore, villages in the city is out of harmony with city’s scenery, health andpublic facilities.Firstly, the paper combs the cause for emergence of urban village and its funda-mental problem by the method of literature review, and creatively regards the recon-struction of urban village in urban build-up area and peripheral area of city as a whole.Chinese style of urban sprawl produces urban village, but the proposal of smartgrowth puts an end to the development of urban village.Secondly, the author adopts the method of field research to the urban village inXi’an and stands in the perspective of artistic design, finally summarizes the majorcharacteristics about the environment of urban village:1. Unicity of space.2. Lack ofpublic facilities.3. Lack of urban greening.4. Disorder of spatial pattern. It is very ne-cessary to reconstruct urban village.Thirdly, with respect to reconstruction of urban village-farmers become citizens,villages change to communities, collective land becomes state-owned, collectiveeconomy turns to shareholding economy, it should bring in ideology of symbiosis fromChinese traditional culture, biology and contemporary designers, and comes up withthe concept of combining the reconstruction of urban village in urban build-up area with protection of urban village in peripheral area of city. Besides, it summarizes thedesign feature about symbiosis mode--timeliness, cyclicity, diversity, and ideologicalcharacteristics about symbiosis model--local, ecology and economy.At last, author analyzes and explains the detail measures about environmental de-sign of urban village that is based on symbiosis mode through actual cases, and sum-marizes intensive reconstruction principles in urban build-up area:1. Reuse of the land.2. Utilization of high density building.3. Diversity of space.4. Mixture of functionalspace. The protective reconstruction principles are concluded as below:1.Protection ofthe natural ecological space of urban village in peripheral area of city.2. Inheritance ofsocial intercourse space of urban village in the outlying area of city.3. Development ofcultural characteristics of the buildings in urban village in the outlying area of city.4.Creation of symbiotic environment in urban village by applying the design skill ofshaping (point)--building up the momentum(line)--bestowing on rhyme(surface) on thepremise of No.1,2and3.
