The design scheme, system design and calculation, test detection and system securityconstruction of the self-elevating gantry hydraulic lifting system were studied systematicallybased on the steel tower hoisting project of Hangzhou Zhijiang bridge. The system set asfollowing: the pillar of large and medium-sized tonnage tower crane and climbing system asthe self-elevating gantry column, the main beam of bridge girder erection machine as theprimary and secondary truss, the flatcar as the moving devices and the wire type continuouslyimproving jack as the hoisting device. It was assembled by the parts of commonly used bridgelifting equipment, which solved the problem of special construction requirement and greatlyreduced the cost. This system can also transform combination according to different projects,which can improve the efficiency of the equipment. A systematic protocol was set upaccording to the characteristics of the construction in the main tower lifting conditions. Theforce status of the lifting system was verified by the inspection and loading test, whichensures the security and reliability of the self-elevating gantry hydraulic lifting system in theprocess of construction. The hazard analysis was carried out for the self-elevating gantryhydraulic lifting system and the corresponding safety measures was proposed. The safetyassembly and dismantling of the system were discussed to ensure the safety of the wholeproject construction.Many technical problems in the process of building complex combination structure weresolved by researching the new special lifting equipment and corresponding constructiontechnology for the steel tower installation of bridge engineering, which provides technicalsupport and guarantee for engineering construction. Meanwhile, the technical support andengineering practice experience were provided for other similar constructions by summing upthe experiences of the construction. The problems of heavy lifting, ultra high lifting andlifting stability were solved by this system which is the more economic and securitytechnology in such installation project. The research results of the project have filled the blankof large lifting equipment of domestic bridge construction, and it has important reference value for domestic similar engineering construction in the future.
