With the rapid development of China’s road transport industry, the number of the "twobuses and a dangerous vehicle" special-purpose vehicles have grown significantly. So whenimproving traffic transportation efficiency and strengthening traffic capacity, manyproblems, such as vehicles’ basic information management, driving route and drivingcondition monitoring, safe operation management, nationwide network spreadingmanagement and so on, have arisen with them. To solve above problems, this thesis putforward a road transport vehicle positioning system based on beidou3G technology, thesystem included the vehicle terminal and monitoring platform, focused on implementationof grouping in the integrated of vehicle monitoring, scheduling, management of the "twobuses and a dangerous vehicle ", improved the road traffic transportation efficiency andsafety, and provided technical support for positioning and navigation services, the more forthe development of intelligent transportation system playing an important significance.The thesis combined with the technology requirements of the road transport vehiclepositioning system, focused on the functions of the system, and had designed andimplemented the basic functions of the vehicle terminal and the system platform, and on thebasis of these, had completed function testes to the system. Firstly, this thesis introduced indetail the3rd generation telecommunication, the beidou positioning technology and relatedtechnical theory; Secondly, combining with the system technical requirements, designed thesystem’ overall plan, including system architecture, data flow and function design; Thenrespectively implemented the vehicle terminal and system platform, which satisfied thefunctional requirement, vehicle terminal used a proven mature circuit design, the hostcontroller selected the STM32series chips, built-in beidou positioning module, WCDMAcommunication module and data acquisition module, and so on. The implementations ofmonitoring platform included the realization of communication system, monitoring systemand database system, focused on the function of real-time monitoring of the monitoringsystem, and designing of remote monitoring of the client–side. Finally, implemented thefunctional testing of vehicle terminal and system platform, and obtained the test results. The system discussed in this thesis have been proved that main functions of the vehicleterminal and the monitoring platform can achieve basically, had friendly human-computerinteraction, system operation was relatively stable, had achieved the requirement of theproject.
