In mountainous areas, highways annually suffer flood hazards, which might causedeformation or collapse of roadbed, slope and other structures. This paper focused on the studyof roadbed damage from flood. The stability analysis and the research results could be appliedto flood control and road maintaining in mountainous areas.Firstly, through the research of the characteristics of road and its damage, this paper putforward a new classification of road flood hazards: submerge damage of pavement, subgradeerosion damage, flood damage of slope coverage, and damage of flood control structuresattached to roadbed.Secondly, flood hazards usually develop from many macro and micro factors. The formerincludes natural environment, planning, infrastructure construction, maintenance level, etc.The micro factors, known as the main reason for flood damage, include structure design andflood flow conditions. This paper studied a few engineering situations to show the hazardmechanism, such as concave bank, concentrated flow scour and vertical main flow or smallangle flow. As a result, the paper described the damage characteristics under differentsituations and the locations vulnerable to flood accordingly.Thirdly, we classified the highway flood damage into four levels according to direct loss, traffic influence and specific destroy intensity of pavement, subgrade, slope and otherstructures.Fourthly, from the pregnant disaster environment factors, and the Angle ofhazard-affected bodies, analyzes the main factors influencing the stability of the mountainousarea highway roadbed damaged by flood; Has been clear about the mountains along the riverroad waterlogging of prone position as well as the corresponding road waterlogging types thatmay occur; Selection of flow, river characteristics, roadbed stability index itself, as thestability of highway roadbed damaged by flood evaluation factor; According to grey systemincidence degree analysis to determine evaluation index weights, the influencing factors ofsuperposition method is used to establish evaluation model, to the subgrade stability index SI as an index, stability of the roadbed damaged by flood of mountain road section was evaluatedand graded. Finally, gives the highway engineering planning, design and construction phase, andintegrated control in the pre-disaster, disaster and post-disaster of the subgrade waterloggingdisaster prevention principles; According to the roadbed damaged by flood waterloggingdisaster occurred in the process of emergency situation, developed a fast repair plan; And aimsat the common subgrade waterlogging form, put forward the corresponding engineeringprotection measures and non-engineering measures.
