With great construction and the rapid development of China ’s expressway, there aremore and more serious problems. Because of the terrain conditions restraint, there are manylongitudinal slope sections and the sections of linear combination of horizontal and verticalalignments, and the proportion of bridges and tunnels is much larger in the mountainous area,which easily lead to the accident-prone sections with the addition of overspeeding. The trafficaccidents in the accident-prone sections caused great loss of life and property. So it is quitenecessary to implement comprehensive research on the improvement technology andmeasures of the accident-prone sections of expressway.Based on analysis of characteristics of roads, traffic and accident of traffic accident-prone points sections, the paper deeply studies the improvement technology and measures bythe traffic safety facilities and traffic organization and managements. First of all, thecharacteristics of freeway accident prone point road traffic accident characteristics andinducing factors is analyzed and summarized, characteristics of freeway accident prone pointroad traffic accident characteristics and inducing factors is analyzed and summarized, whichprovides a train of thought in implement improvement measures. Secondly, on the basis ofanalysis of traffic safety facilities type and functional features, the optimization scheme ofsafety facilities to accident-prone section of expressway is put forward in four levels, whichare sight guidance, risk warning, reducing the speedcompulsively, and safety protection. Then,specific safety facilities improvement and countermeasures are put forward for commonlyaccident prone. Based on the traffic organization optimization ideas and principles, improvingmeasures of traffic organization mode of highway accident prone are put forward throughtraffic organization of passenger and cargo diversion and speed of organization. At last, thesuggestions and opinions of the improvement in the long run are put forward, which arestrengthening people’s safety education, improving the vehicle safety performance,overloading ransfinite governance and predictive accuracy of the accident, and perfecting thehighway traffic accident emergency rescue systems, which is systematized and systematized.
