In recent years,with the rapid increase of the asphalt pavement,the damage of thepavement has gradually increased,and it is in need of urgent patching up.This provides a lotof space for the development of the pavement maintenance machine.According to therequirement of the new maintenance policy,the maintenance machinery should have a rapidresponse for patching up while efficient and high quality jobs is also needed,and it shouldalso take into environmental protection.So a pavement maintenance machine based on theregenerative technology was developed.The machine can be used to patch up many ordinarydamages,such as pit,crack,obstruct package,rut,the damage of shoulder and so on.Using hot-fill method to heat and patch up the pavement, the pavement maintenancemachine works efficiently and economically.The cold and old bituminous mixture can beregenerated by regenerate silo designed on the pavement maintenance machine which isenergy conservation and environment protection.The bituminous mixture is transported to theregenerate silo by automatic feeding device which is controlled by hydraulic systems.So thepavement maintenance machine is in high degree of automation.This thesis has overall designed the pavement maintenance machine,completed vehiclelayout,determined the structure type and technical parameters of each device.The thesisfocus on the working mechanisms design of the heating wall and roller lifting mechanism,The two mechanisms have modeled and assembled by using the software Pro/E.The forcesloaded on the two mechanisms have been analyzed when they are in dangerous workingconditions.Meanwhile,the rolling-over racks which are the major parts of the twomechanisms have been analyzed by finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench.Thestress and total deformation cloud pictures have been got according to the statics analysis,andthe rationality of the structural design has been verified by comparing with allowable stress.The former sixth-order vibration models and natural frequency of the rolling-over racks havebeen got by modal analysis using ANSYS Workbench.By comparing with engine and roadroughness excitation frequency,it is confirmed that the pavement maintenance machine willnot resonate with engine and road roughness excitation,and the dynamic properties of thepavement maintenance machine are favorable.
