With the increasing of urban population, water demand has been increased either, Inorder to solve this problem, people have to get water in areas far away from cities, evencross-region or cross-basin, so as to meet the needs of urban development. For exampleTransport Water from South to North, Transport Water from Yellow River to Neimenggu,Transport Water from Yellow River to Qingdao, Transport Water from Yellow River to Shanxiand so on. Many of which are involved aqueduct project. Involving the aqueduct of theproject, must involve aqueduct of security issues, one of the important aspects is to preventthe occurrence of water hammer and the resulting damage or loss.This paper systematically expounded the theory and the method of water hammercalculation, described in detail water hammer calculation requires attention to the boundaryconditions, and the corresponding boundary conditions were analyzed. Focus on the analysisof the flat water pipelines and pipeline gas-liquid flow characteristics of airbags boostmechanism, and the analysis of water hammer cavities formation and mechanism. Pressurefluctuations on various conditions were analyzed, appropriate preventive measures and thecorresponding optimal exhaust measures were given at the same time.Flat with large diameter pipeline water hammer protection for the research on largediameter water pipes flat characteristics analysis, proposed large-diameter pipes flat waterhammer protection method.
