With quick development of city constructions and the greatly improvement of people's living level, more and more large long distance water transfer projects appear, the problem of project tube explosion attracts more and more people's attention. The anti-explosion technology research of long distance water delivery pipeline system with gravity flow conduits is an important problem in safe operation of pipelines. Therefore, it is necessary to have a further discuss on this problem.In this paper, hydraulic factors of water pipeline tube explosion are detailed to analyzed, the water supply system hydraulic transition calculating basic principle and methods are introduced, mathematical model of computation of water hammer under many Boundary Conditions are established, visualization Program is written in VB language, simulation calculation by using computer.Combination with reality working conditions of Shitouhe reservoir in Xianyang water delivery project and Caofeidian water supply project, in the area with great height difference and complex terrain and geomorphy, analysis calculation and comparison the result for closing valve water hammer of long distance pipe with large caliber and gravity flow conduits pipe are made. Aiming at the problem of large pipeline working pressure and water hammer pressure in long-distance and gravity flow conduits pipelines, the measures for energy suppressor and decompression with grade and the method for prolonging closing time of butterfly valve in the End of Pipe System are put forward. Combination with the pipeline exhaust, technologies and suggestions for prevention and reduction tube explosion caused by not proper hydraulic control are advanced. Combination with water supply project in Fuxin city, comparative research on water hammer protection of cavities collapsing of great fluctuation and large drop gravity flow pipelines, all-new water hammer prevention measures and optimization operating regulation are advanced, have significant effects on preventing too high boost caused by water hammer of cavities collapsing and closing valve water hammer, it is very important for making sure safe operation of water supply project and reducing project cost.The results of this paper not only draw conclusion that is beneficial to operation and management of Pipeline of Shitouhe reservoir project in Xianyang, Caofeidian water supply project, but also have a referenced value on water hammer prevention theory and measures in water supply engineering.
