The double suction split pumps, with large flow and excellent cavitation performance,are one sort of the most widely used industrial pumps. There is still a wide gap betweendomestic split pumps, which developed relatively late, and foreign ones, and there existsmany deficiencies in term of energy and cavitation performance and stability in hydraulicmodels.The double suction split pumps, with large flow and excellent cavitationperformance, are one sort of the most widely used industrial pumps. This paperconcludes a set of methods which can make a single stage double suction split centrifugalpump perform better. The blade is the most important part of the single stage doublesuction split centrifugal pump. And it can largely shorten the development cycle of thedesign of a blade. This paper also produces a new idea of the design of suction chamberand redesign the Volute section size by equal circulation theory.
